H-Drive Hybrid Technology
Pioneers of hybrid propulsion at sea since 2008. Now in its 6th generation.
Three modes. One drivetrain.
Every H-Drive yacht gives you a choice on the helm. Diesel mode for long-range cruising and rough weather — top speed up to 18 knots. Electric mode for completely silent operation in marinas, no-wake zones, and sensitive waters at speeds up to 6 knots. Hybrid mode intelligently blends both, using the diesel for propulsion while the electric motor acts as a generator that tops up the lithium bank as you go.
No other production motor yacht line offers this flexibility across every model in the range.
Pioneers since 2008
Greenline launched the world's first series-production hybrid motor yacht in 2008. Sixteen years and six generations of H-Drive later, we have more hours of real-world hybrid cruising than any other yacht builder. The current 6th-generation system is lighter, quieter, and more efficient than ever — and it's standard equipment on most models in the range.
Safe low-voltage 60V energy system
The H-Drive energy system runs at a low voltage of 60V — far safer than the high-voltage (400V+) systems used in many electric and hybrid boats. Low voltage means a much lower risk of electric shock for owners and service technicians, simpler and safer maintenance, and peace of mind on board for the whole family.
Designed around the lithium bank
The H-Drive system is built around a high-capacity lithium battery bank that's charged by the solar array on the hardtop, the shore connection in port, or the diesel engine via the integrated alternator. That bank powers the electric motor for silent propulsion and runs the entire yacht overnight at anchor — air conditioning included — with zero generator runtime.
See where the energy flows
Switch between the four operating modes to see how solar, the lithium bank, the diesel engine, and the electric motor work together at any given moment.
Long-range cruising under diesel power. The engine drives the propeller directly and tops up the lithium bank via the integrated alternator. Solar continues to feed the house loads.
