Greenline hybrid drivetrain
Technology & Propulsion

Diesel. Hybrid. Electric.

Greenline launched the world's first series-production hybrid motor yacht in 2008. We still build the only complete fleet offering all three drivetrains — across every model from 39 to 58 feet.

Overview

One platform, three ways to move

Every Greenline is built around the same idea: a solar-fed lithium bank at the centre of the boat, and the drivetrain of your choice bolted to it. That is why a Greenline can sit overnight at anchor with the air conditioning running and the generator off — whichever engine you order.

Choose efficient diesel for long coastal passages, the 6th-generation H-Drive hybrid for range plus silent electric cruising, or pure electric for lakes and protected waters.

H-Drive Hybrid Technology

We are pioneers of hybrid propulsion in boats and have been using this technology since 2008. Years of experience in hybrid drivetrains has allowed us to perfect the system not only for the purposes of propulsion but also for maximum efficiency and comfort while living on board. The energy system runs at a low voltage of 60V — much safer than typical high-voltage systems.

Long-range cruising under diesel power. The engine drives the propeller directly and tops up the lithium bank via the integrated alternator. Solar continues to feed the house loads.

Solar — standard

Power from the sun, every day

Every Greenline ships with high-performance monocrystalline panels integrated into the hardtop. They feed the domestic battery bank from the moment the sun hits them — running the fridge, lights, and electronics without the generator or shore power. Solar is not an upgrade on a Greenline; it is how the boat is designed to work.

The Greenline difference

One quiet revolution, sixteen years in the making.

Every Greenline ships with a solar array, a lithium battery bank, and the option of hybrid or full-electric propulsion. No other production yacht builder offers that across an entire range.
